Applying for Queensland State nomination
To apply for Queensland nomination for Skilled visas (subclass 190 or 491) please take the following steps:
Step 1: Review Immigration Eligibility Criteria on the Department of Home Affairs website and Queensland State Nomination Criteria on Migration Queensland website.
Step 2: Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Home Affairs SkillSelect website. Choose Queensland as your preferred nominating state.
Step 3: If your EOI is accepted, you will receive an invitation from Migration Queensland to lodge your nomination application online through Migration Queensland document portal.
Step 4: Pay a non-refundable application fee to Migration Queensland in order to process your application. Visit Application fees for detailed information.
Step 5: Once you are nominated by the State of Queensland, you will receive an invitation from Home Affairs to lodge a visa application within 60 days of the nomination.
