Application process

Queensland welcomes skilled talent from around the world to work and live in our state and contribute to our state’s diversified economy and vibrant communities.

Across both skilled and business visas, there are several different options and pathways of entry.

If you are interested in moving to Queensland, we encourage you to take a look at the different visa options and eligibility criteria to identify pathways that might suit you.

Skilled visa options – register your interest

The 2025-26 Queensland State Nominated Migration Program will open for Registrations of Interest (ROIs) on 19 September 2025.

If you find a skilled visa pathway for which you may be eligible, we encourage you to review the eligibility criteria on that pathway page in detail, before reading our skilled visas registration of interest process.

Business visa options – register your interest

Applications are open for Queensland nomination through our business visa program.

If you are interested in migrating to become part of Queensland’s dynamic business community, find out how to register your interest for our business pathways.
