Registration of Interest (ROI)

Before you register your interest

To be considered for Queensland nomination, you must submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) on the Migration Queensland website.  

All applicants must submit a new ROI for the 2026-27 program, including those who submitted an ROI in a previous program year and have not received Queensland nomination. 

Please note:

• you can only select one visa subclass in your ROI
• you can only have one valid ROI at a time
• once submitted, an ROI cannot be updated
• if your circumstances change or you need to amend information, you must submit a new ROI
• if you submit multiple ROIs, only your most recent ROI will be considered

Before submitting your ROI, make sure:

• your Expression of Interest (EOI) in SkillSelect is up to date and accurate
• you can provide documents to support the information in your EOI and ROI
• you have reviewed our How to apply page and Frequently asked questions

Skilled visa ROIs

Skilled visa applicants must submit an ROI under the nomination pathway that best matches their circumstances.

Business visa ROIs

The Australian Government closed the Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) to new applications in July 2024. 

Migration Queensland continues to assess Queensland nomination applications for eligible subclass 188 visa holders applying for an extension 188 visa, or a permanent Business Innovation and Investment visa (subclass 888).
